HumanType is a desktop text automation tool. Privacy is a core design principle — the application runs entirely on your machine, and we collect only the minimum data necessary to process payments and deliver your license.
Data we collect
Email address — provided during purchase or optionally when downloading the free version. Used to deliver your license key and respond to support requests.
Hardware fingerprint — a one-way hash (SHA-256) of your machine identifier, generated during license activation. Used solely to enforce the 3-device activation limit. We cannot reverse this hash to identify your hardware.
Payment data — payment processing is handled entirely by NOWPayments. We do not store credit card numbers, wallet addresses, or transaction details beyond what is necessary to link a payment to your order.
Data we do NOT collect
Any text you type or paste into HumanType — it is never stored, logged, or transmitted
Usage analytics or telemetry
IP addresses (beyond standard server logs)
Browsing behavior or tracking cookies
How we use your data

Third parties
We share data only with the following services, strictly for operational purposes:
NOWPayments — payment processing. Subject to their privacy policy.
SMTP email — transactional emails (license key delivery). Processed through our own mail server.
Data retention
We retain your email and order data for as long as your license is active, or as required for accounting and legal purposes. You can request deletion of your data by contacting support.
