HumanType is a desktop text automation tool. Privacy is a core design principle — the application runs on your own PC, and we collect only the minimum data needed to process payment and deliver your license.
Data we collect
Email address — required at purchase, so we can send your license key; optional when you download the free trial. We also use it to respond to support requests.
Hardware fingerprint — a one-way hash of a machine identifier, generated during trial and license activation. Used solely to enforce the 2-device activation limit. It cannot be reversed to identify your hardware.
Payment data — payment is made directly in cryptocurrency, on-chain. We keep only what is needed to link a payment to your order (order reference, amount, transaction). We do not collect names, cards, or bank details.
Data we do NOT collect
The text you type through HumanType — the app never transmits it on its own. Diagnostic logs stay on your PC; they are sent to us only when you choose to submit them from the app for support.

Third parties
We share data only where strictly necessary to operate the service:
Resend — delivers transactional email (such as your license key). Subject to their privacy policy.
Cryptocurrency payments settle on a public blockchain; on-chain transaction data is inherently public and outside our control.
Server logs
Our servers keep standard technical logs (including IP addresses) needed to run the service securely. These are not used to profile or track you.
Data retention
We keep your email and order data while your license is active, or as required for accounting and legal purposes, and delete it on request where we are not legally required to retain it.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal data. In practice the only personal data we hold is your email and the order linked to it. To make a request, email support@humantype.app or .
